Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh is a Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office since 15th  September 2010. Prior to that, he was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs from 16th October 2009 to 14th September 2010.


Haji Mohd ’Abdoh first started his career at Public Service Department on 21st September 1989 as an Administrative Officer.  He was then appointed as an Administrative Officer Special Grade in the Ministry of Health from October 1994 until May 1998. He was then posted to the Ministry of Communication. Later he was the Assistant District Officer for Belait from April 2000 until August 2002. Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh was seconded to the Brunei Investment Agency in the Ministry of Finance from August 2002 until May 2005.


Later, he was promoted as Senior Administrative Officer in the Public Service Commission from May 2005 until October 2006. He was then transferred to Temburong Districts as its district officer. From May 2008 until February 2009, he was transferred as the Controller of Royal Customs and Excise, Royal Customs and Excise Department under the Ministry of Finance.


Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh was later promoted as the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs on February 2009 and again promoted as Permanent Secretary at the same ministry on 16th October 2009.


From September 2010 until now, he holds the position of Deputy Chairman for Brunei Darussalam’s Employee Trust Fund (Tabung Amanah Pekerja).


Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh holds a BA Management Studies from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (1989).


He has been awarded with “Pingat Indah Kerja Baik” for work merit (PIKB) and “The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei Darussalam” 4th. Class (PSB).


He was born on 29th December 1965 and married with four children. He enjoys badminton.
