The e-Government exhibition was held at the Mall, Gadong. It went on for
3 days, starting from 12th June 2009 until 14th
June 2009. The main objective was to raise awareness and promote the
e-government initiative to the public.

GEMS Self-Service Road Show - 4th to 13th
May 2009
A Self-Service Road Show toured through all R1(Release 1) sites where
all Self-Service Users from PMO and its five departments (including
Energy Division) are given the opportunity to
know more about GEMS, the Self Service feature available in R1 (Release
1), and to collect dedicated UserIDs and Passwords for new GEMS
account that was created for us.

GEMS Roving Team on Go-Live Day
- 16th April 2009
The Roving
Team toured through PMO (including Energy Division) and its 5
departments to communicate to HR Users that GEMS has arrived, assist
them in logging into GEMS and to troubleshoot any issues that was
encountered. Local Change Champions, Agents and Trainers provided their
support by joining the team.

GEMS Role Mapping
Workshop for R1

Role Mapping Workshop for all Change Agents where they learned how to
match new roles created in GEMS to prospective HR Users in their
department. This will enable the change agents to identify their HR
Users and provide them the necessary training and access rights to GEMS
in the future.

GEMS Contract Signing Ceremony - 26th June 2008
The Contract Signing Ceremony
for the Implementation of GEMS took place at the
Press Conference Hall of the International Convention Centre,
Berakas. The event was attended by about 200 guests comprising
of Permanent Secretaries from various ministries, Directors,
Heads of Departments, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and
Chief Information Officers of various government agencies.
