About GEMS: Logo Brand

A significant amount of effort, time and discussions was invested into making the decision of branding the new system 'GEMS'. Executive members of the steering committee wanted a meaningful brand that encompasses the following:
  • a meaningful name that all civil servants can relate to
  • a rewarding correlation between people and modern technology
  • a strong suggestion of support to the Brunei's e-Government initiative
  • a true reflection of the project's mission and vision

With constructive suggestions and open discussion meetings, the GEMS team worked closely with the steering committee to create a brand suitable for the new Human Resource management system. The GEMS branding comprises of three main components; the name, image and slogan.

A table below provides us with the meaning for each component of the GEMS logo brand.
